Lake Coeur d’Alene has tons of great spots to park your boat, grab a snack and take a dip. With the weather warming up, we’ve compiled a list of three spots to tie up and jump in on Lake Coeur d’Alene:
- Windy Bay Boat Park
As the name implies, head to Windy Bay for this remote tie-up location. The bay is located south of Coeur d’Alene (the town) on the west side of the lake. While there’s not much going on land here, there are docks that you can tie your boat to while your utilize the restrooms, or prep lunch on the picnic tables. And if it’s hot, utilize the docks as a literal jumping off point to cool off in Lake CDA!
- The town of Harrison
Are you one of those people who like to have a destination in mind when you strike out in the morning? Sail or putter down to the town of Harrison, on the southern half the lake. Harrison is located on the east side of the lake (off Highway 97, for you land lubbers) and is a great stop to get gas, stretch your legs and grab ice cream in the summer months.
- Carlin Bay Resort
On the east side of the lake, about halfway between Coeur d’Alene and Harrison, Carlin Bay offers tie-ups, fuel docks, and a restaurant. This is a great place to dip your toes, reset and head back out on the water.
Bonus — We had to add in one more: the Coeur d’Alene Resort’s Boardwalk Marina. Located in downtown Coeur d’Alene, this is the perfect jumping-off-point to downtown, Tubbs Hill, and tons of food and shopping.
