The Resort Boat Shop Special Projects
Jefe
A True Gentleman's Runabout
Owned by Donna and Jerry Gilbreath, this ultra-custom runabout was launched in June 2009. The boat is cold-molded with Western Red Cedar and African mahogany. Jefe, pronounced HEH-fay, is Spanish for chief or leader.
Jefe is 34 feet long, with an 8-foot 6-inch beam and 15-degree deadrise. The boat is powered by twin 400-horsepower Mercury Engine Bravo 1 drives.
Donna and Jerry, a champion offshore powerboat racer, collaborated to provide a one-of-a-kind craft that pleases both of them. Donna requested a quiet running machine and a wind-free cockpit. Another unique characteristic is that the bow never rises into the driver's field of vision, at any acceleration.
"I picked The Resort Boat Shop to help me because I like the way they build," says Jerry Gilbreath. "They pay meticulous attention to detail, one step at a time, and that's what I wanted for my boat."
Jefe is finished in top-end ultraleather materials with mahogany and teakwood accents. Built-in amenities include a mirrored beverage bar and a removable cocktail table. The beautiful dashboard includes custom Livorsi gauges, Latham throttles and a tilting Latham stainless steel helm.
Sizzler
60-foot Cold-Molded Day Sailing Yacht
Custom-designed for Lake Coeur d'Alene, the entire craft can be sailed single-handedly by her owner, Duane Hagadone. Her stunningly simple profile hides an array of sophisticated hydraulic controls below the deck. This one-of-a-kind boat was built by Hagadone Marine Group at The Resort Boat Shop, and launched in July of 2007.
Crafted from the owner's exacting vision, this floating work of art combines traditional and exotic materials from around the globe including Western cedar, African mahogany, Burmese teak and carbon fiber. She has been featured in worldwide publications including Sailing Magazine, Yachting World, Boat International and Robb Report.
Sizzler pairs the best of big yacht systems with a small boat's pure sailing ability. She excels in a variety of conditions, and provides her proud owner with a great deal of sailing pleasure.
Veloce
1948 Ventnor 23.5 Custom Deluxe
The name is Italian for 'speed,' and this beautiful boat is going faster than ever, thanks to a complete ground-up restoration by The Resort Boat Shop/Hagadone Marine Group.
Rare does not begin to describe this boat, one of just six ever made and only three known to be in existence. The Veloce restoration includes twin Grey Marine Fireball 6 engines and new fuel tanks.
The classic original gauges were all restored to former glory. The boat was recently profiled in a story by the Inland Empire Antique Classic Boat Society.
